On Sunday, we stopped at Ivars on the way back from Matthews Beach Park. As you can see, the beach and fresh water of Lake Washington took it out of them. The Burke-Gilman trail offers the perfect connection between the Fremont Neighborhood and Matthews Beach. It’s just a 7 or 8 mile ride on a the easy railroad grade of the trail. That easy grade is probably what lulled these kids to sleep. The outside spot at Ivar’s Salmon House is a great space to bring the whole family, and especially necessary if you need to keep the kids sound asleep in the Chariot Cougar 2. As you can see Hazel complements her infant insert with a light blanket for the sometimes cool Seattle summer.
